About Us

At the Communications Authority of Kenya (CA), we are the regulatory agency for the ICT industry in Kenya. Our responsibilities span telecommunications, cyber security, e-commerce, broadcasting, multimedia, postal/courier services, as well as managing the country’s numbering and frequency spectrum resources. We also administer the Universal Service Fund (USF) and safeguard the interests of ICT service users.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership As the Chief Executive Officer, you will provide overall leadership and be the spokesperson for CA, aligning our operations with national and sectoral objectives. Your strategic vision will be crucial in adapting to the evolving ICT sector influenced by changing technologies, consumer needs, and international trends.

Regulatory Expertise Effective regulation of the ICT industry demands a deep understanding of technical, legal, and operational aspects. You will navigate this complex landscape, ensuring that our regulations are up-to-date, effective, and in the public interest. Your role will involve continuous improvements in the quality and responsiveness of regulatory frameworks.

Resource Management Sound resource management is essential for CA’s financial health and growth. Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications, Information Technology, Applied and Physical Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, Business-related fields, or equivalent qualification.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Fulfilment of the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
• A minimum of ten years of relevant work experience, with at least five years in senior management.
• Proven leadership in policy formulation and regulatory matters is advantageous.
