Key Responsibilities
As the Digital Communications Manager, your responsibilities will include:
Brand Development
- Managing brand strategy to align with GEAPP’s communication goals.
- Designing and producing content for advocacy campaigns and partner distribution.
Content Creation
- Leading the creation of digital content, including web content and social media posts.
- Developing event-specific materials such as banners, invitations, and holding screens.
- Producing web-specific storytelling content and data visualizations using tools like Flourish.
Website and Digital Strategy
- Overseeing website updates, ensuring content remains current and optimized for SEO.
- Leading the annual digital content plan for the Powering People and Planet (P3) report.
- Managing relationships with digital marketing agencies and website developers.
Asset Management
- Implementing and maintaining GEAPP’s communications library, including curating photo and video assets.
Storytelling and Impact Reporting
- Supporting the development of impact stories showcasing the organization’s mission in action.
Qualifications and Skills
Education
- University degree in fields such as communications, international development, or related disciplines.
Experience
- 6-10 years in digital communications or a similar field.
- Proficiency in tools like Canva, WordPress, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Familiarity with organizational brand guidelines to craft compelling content.
- Experience with nonprofits, philanthropies, or organizations in the energy/climate sectors is an advantage.
Skills
- Exceptional writing and content production abilities.
- Proficiency in SEO strategies and digital storytelling techniques.
- Strong design skills, with experience using Adobe Suite as an added advantage.
