About the Role

As a Financial Accountant at DHL Supply Chain Kenya, you will play a pivotal role in providing financial, audit, and tax leadership for the country. Your responsibilities will include:

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Financial Accounting Ledger Reporting and Reconciliations: Maintain accurate financial records and reconcile accounts.
Tax Compliance: Ensure adherence to tax laws, prepare tax returns, and handle tax administration.
Internal Controls: Support the Finance Manager in implementing and monitoring internal controls.
Group Financial Reporting: Adhere to group financial reporting guidelines and train the finance team accordingly.
Working Capital Management: Coordinate with stakeholders on billing, collections, payments, and cash flow management.
Compliance: Drive awareness of compliance requirements and ensure adherence to local statutory accounting rules and regulations.
Treasury Management: Manage East Africa treasury functions, including bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
Finance SOPs: Maintain and update finance standard operating procedures to align with current operating environments.
Additional Duties: Undertake other responsibilities as necessitated by business needs.

About You

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

Bachelor’s degree in commerce with a specialization in Accounting.
Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA).
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Proficiency in ERP systems and project management from a finance perspective.
Strong understanding of profit and loss statements.
Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written).
