Job Summary

Sheerlogic Ltd., a prominent player in the logistics industry, is seeking a skilled Declarant to join our team in Mombasa, Kenya. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in custom declarations and possess a Diploma in Clearing & Forwarding. If you have a passion for navigating customs regulations and a track record of experience in the logistics field, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit accurate customs declarations to ensure compliance with all regulations.
• Review and verify documentation to ensure completeness and correctness.
• Coordinate with customs authorities to resolve any issues or discrepancies.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of customs rules and regulations to ensure compliance.
• Utilize the Asycuda system for efficient processing and management of customs documentation.
• Collaborate with freight forwarders and other stakeholders to streamline import and export processes.

Qualifications and Skills

• Diploma in Clearing & Forwarding from a recognized institution.
• Freight Forwarding Certificate from KESRA.
• ICMS credentials are essential.
• 2-3 years of experience in customs declaration processes.
• Strong knowledge of customs rules and regulations.
• Familiarity with the Asycuda system is an added advantage.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
