Position Summary
As a Debt Recovery Officer, your primary responsibility will be to manage and recover loans in arrears. You’ll work closely with members to facilitate repayment, offering guidance and support. If you’re ready to make a positive impact in the world of finance, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze Arrears: Regularly assess members in arrears, identifying missed instalments.
- Communication: Notify members of outstanding amounts and engage via phone calls and SMS.
- Payment Plans: Collaborate with members to establish and monitor repayment plans.
- Queries and Advice: Address member queries and provide sound financial advice.
- Restructuring: Refer cases for loan restructuring to the Credit Officer.
- Reporting: Prepare monthly reports detailing collections, follow-ups, and agreed commitment dates.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma: Diploma in Co-operative Management, Business Administration, or equivalent.
- Advantage: A bachelor’s degree in Cooperative Management or equivalent is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a similar role within a financial institution.
- Tech Skills: Proficiency in computer skills and computerized accounting systems.
