Key Responsibilities

Project-based Tasks

1. Instrumental Coding:

  • Code research instruments ensuring internal flow and consistency.
  • Review and adapt project-specific monitoring tools.

2. Training and Monitoring:

  • Train audit enumerators on project-specific monitoring tools.
  • Conduct regular quality checks on incoming data, providing valuable feedback.

3. Data Cleaning:

  • Clean and process incoming data efficiently.
  • Coordinate data quality activities for small projects or project segments.

4. Qualitative Data Contribution:

  • Contribute to qualitative data collection projects.
  • Engage in Key Informant Interviews, review transcripts, and code qualitative data.

Team-based Responsibilities

1. Tool Development:

  • Contribute to the development of data monitoring and processing tools.
  • Work on the automation and documentation of existing tools.

2. Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality control at every project stage.
  • Efficiently manage internal systems for Laterite’s resources.

Your Profile

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience in a data-heavy role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Applied Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis tools, especially STATA.
  • Survey coding experience (SurveyCTO, ODK, Kobo).
  • Excellent oral and written communication in English and Swahili.
