Role: Expert Contract Manager

As a Contract Manager, your role is pivotal in establishing and managing contract agreements between the company and suppliers. You’ll ensure alignment with objectives, effective communication, and enforcement of negotiated terms. Collaborating with internal stakeholders, you’ll play a key role in optimizing profitability and supplier relations.

About You:

  • Knowledgeable Professional: Familiar with commercial agreements, contractual terms, and legislation regulations. Expertise in ensuring documents align with objectives and are communicated effectively.
  • Optimization Champion: Enforce and optimize negotiated terms and conditions for maximum agreement efficiency and profitability.
  • Strategic Mindset: Comfortable in aligning procurement plans with contracting strategies, liaising with procurement heads, and identifying opportunities for optimization.
  • Dispute Resolver: Proficient in managing supplier disputes, involving internal stakeholders as necessary to ensure favorable outcomes.
  • Supplier Relations Expert: Lead supplier evaluation processes, collaborating with suppliers and internal stakeholders to enhance performance.
  • Risk Management: Offer recommendations and innovative approaches to mitigate supply risks and seize opportunities.
  • Contract Oversight: Maintain a register of supplier contracts, ensuring timely renewals and alignment with strategy.
  • Team Management: Oversee a team of contract associates, ensuring consistent implementation of contract strategy.


Procurement Management

  • Align procurement plan with contracting strategy.
  • Regularly liaise with procurement head for optimization and profitability.

Claim Management

  • Track contracts to achieve favorable terms, including JBP, margins, and rebates.

Dispute Management

  • Resolve supplier disputes, involving relevant internal stakeholders.

Supplier Evaluation and Collaboration

  • Lead supplier evaluation processes and collaborate to enhance performance.

Risk Management and Recommendations

  • Offer innovative approaches to manage supply risks and recommend strategies.

Contract Oversight and Renewals

  • Maintain contract register and ensure timely renewals.

Team Leadership

  • Manage contract associates, ensuring strategy implementation.


  • Bachelor’s degree in BA, supply chain management, or relevant discipline.
  • Proven track record in contract negotiation and management (E-commerce/FMCG or adjacent industry).
  • Strong analytical and planning skills with commercial acumen.
  • Previous team management experience within Supply Chain related functions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software packages.
