Nasib Industrial Products Ltd., the exclusive distributor of Caparol Paints in Kenya, is searching for a dynamic Construction Project Sales Executive to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in developing relationships with consultants, contractors, and customers, driving business growth, and contributing to the successful completion of construction projects across the region.


Key Responsibilities:

As a Construction Project Sales Executive, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Building and Maintaining Networks:
    • Establish and nurture relationships with consultants, contractors, and customers.
    • Collaborate closely with the specification specialist to ensure that projects align with customer needs and industry standards.
  2. Project Scouting and Database Management:
    • Proactively scout for new construction projects and consistently follow up on existing projects to ensure smooth progression.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the projects database, allowing for seamless tracking and management of multiple projects.
  3. Site Surveys and Design Solutions:
    • Conduct site surveys to gather relevant data on ongoing projects.
    • Assist customers in finding tailored design solutions that meet their specific requirements and ensure their satisfaction.
  4. Effective Communication:
    • Communicate effectively with internal teams (such as logistics, production, and customer service) and external vendors to ensure project timelines are met.
    • Serve as a liaison between customers and internal departments, ensuring that all parties remain informed and aligned throughout the project lifecycle.
  5. Project Progress Tracking:
    • Monitor project progress at every stage, ensuring that invoicing and collection are up to date.
    • Proactively resolve any delays or issues that may arise during the project to maintain steady progress and client satisfaction.
  6. Timely Goods Supply:
    • Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure that all products and materials are delivered to project sites on time and in optimal condition.
    • Communicate any potential delays to the client and internal teams to mitigate impact and maintain transparency.
  7. Rapport Building with Applicators and Distributors:
    • Build strong relationships with applicators and project distributors to ensure they have the necessary resources and training to apply Caparol Paints products correctly.
    • Regularly check in with applicators to provide any additional support or product knowledge they may need.

Qualifications and Skills:

The ideal candidate for the Construction Project Sales Executive role will possess the following qualifications and skills:

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in Construction-Based Project Sales:
    You must have previous experience working in construction project sales, preferably within the paints or coatings industry.
  • Educational Background:
    A university degree in Business Administration or a related field is required for this position.
  • Sales Accomplishments:
    Proven track record of success in achieving sales targets and driving business growth within the construction industry.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong Interpersonal Skills:
    The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams is essential for success in this role.
  • Excellent Communication Skills:
    Clear and effective communication is key to ensuring smooth project progression and client satisfaction.
  • Proficiency in Project Management Tools:
    Familiarity with project management software and tools will be advantageous in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Technical Knowledge of Paints and Coatings:
    A solid understanding of paints and coatings will give you an edge when assisting clients with design solutions and product recommendations.
