The Construction Painter will be responsible for preparing surfaces, mixing paints, and applying finishes for a variety of projects at the Kisumu-Miwani location. Key Responsibilities

As a Construction Painter at KEDA Ceramics, you will be tasked with the following responsibilities:

  • Surface Preparation: Preparing surfaces for painting by cleaning, scraping, sanding, and priming to ensure proper adhesion of paint.
  • Paint Mixing and Application: Mixing paints, dyes, and other materials to achieve the desired color and consistency, and applying them with brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
  • Filling and Skimming: Performing paint filling and skimming work to ensure surfaces are smooth and free of imperfections.
  • Inspection and Quality Control: Inspecting completed painting work to ensure it meets the specified standards and quality expectations.
  • Other Duties: Carrying out any other tasks assigned by the Department Head, as required by the project or the company’s needs.

The successful candidate will be expected to adhere to high professional standards and demonstrate a commitment to quality and safety on every project.

Qualifications and Skills

To be considered for the Construction Painter position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • Certificate in Painting or a relevant qualification in a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of prior experience in painting work, ideally within a construction or industrial setting.

  • Good Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are required to effectively collaborate with team members and report to supervisors.
  • Fluency in English: The ability to communicate clearly in both written and spoken English is essential.
