Civil Engineering Intern
We are seeking a committed Civil Engineering Intern to join our team, eager to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry. Under the mentorship of our Projects Engineer and Project Manager, the intern will play a pivotal role in supporting various civil engineering projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
As a Civil Engineering Intern, you will:
- Assist in Design and Analysis: Collaborate on the design and analysis of civil engineering projects, spanning infrastructure, transportation, water resources, and environmental systems, utilizing CAD software and engineering principles.
- Site Oversight: Conduct site visits to supervise execution, ensure quality, and document progress.
- Field Surveys and Data Collection: Participate in field surveys and data collection activities to gather essential information for project planning and design.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare and review technical documents, reports, and presentations, ensuring compliance with project specifications and engineering standards.
- Project Support: Support project managers and senior engineers in scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation to meet project timelines and financial objectives.
- Material Testing: Conduct material testing and analysis to determine suitability for project applications and adherence to industry standards.
- Safety and Compliance: Contribute to the development of safety plans and risk assessments for construction projects, ensuring a safe working environment and compliance with building codes and regulations.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- Bachelor’s Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from a reputable university.
- Experience: While 6 months of experience is preferred, it’s not mandatory. A quick learner with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
