PURPOSE: Responsible for effectively handling claims and settling them within stipulated timelines.


Register and Analyze Claims

  • Essential: Advise clients on supporting claims documents.
  • Desirable: Appoint service providers where applicable.

Claim Assessment

  • Essential: Analyze adjuster/investigators’ claim reports to recommend settlement/approve/admit.
  • Desirable: Process fully documented claims and refer any suspicious claims to the supervisor.

Third-Party Recoveries

  • Essential: Initiate third-party recoveries through written demand letters.

Claims Management

  • Essential: Review claims reserves continuously in light of new developments and close files upon completion of payments.
  • Desirable: Process all service provider invoices and payments within set standards.
  • Desirable: Issue discharge vouchers for all fully documented claims.
  • Desirable: Attend to customer queries and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Desirable: Follow up on claims payments.

Key Skills, Knowledge, Experience, and Behavioral Competencies

Academic and Professional Requirements

  • Essential: Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
  • Essential: Computer literate in MS Office and other office applications.
  • Desirable: Part qualification in a relevant professional field such as Diploma in Insurance, ACCI/AIIK will be an added advantage.

Experience Required:

  • Essential: 1 year of relevant experience.
