Wildlife Clubs of Kenya (WCK) is a prestigious organization committed to wildlife conservation and education. Our Centre for Tourism Training and Research (CTTR) is a specialized college focused on providing top-tier training in Wildlife, Tourism, and Hospitality. We aim to foster a deep understanding of wildlife and environmental conservation through education, practical training, and research.


Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated, visionary, and dynamic Lecturer in Tourism, Travel, and Tour Operations. Reporting to the Principal, the successful candidate will play a critical role in delivering high-quality education and training, ensuring our students are well-prepared for the tourism and travel industry.


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring Effective Student Learning: Deliver engaging lectures, facilitate practical training sessions, and provide academic support to students.
  • Quality Evaluation and Enhancement: Conduct regular assessments, provide constructive feedback, and implement improvements in teaching methods and course content.
  • Programme Development: Assist in the development and review of curriculum, ensuring it meets industry standards and students’ needs.
  • Administration Duties: Participate in departmental meetings, contribute to administrative tasks, and support the overall functioning of the institution.
  • Guidance and Support: Mentor students, assist with career development, and foster a positive learning environment.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Educational Background: Must possess a bachelor’s degree in Travel and Tour Operations, Travel and Tourism, or related disciplines.
  • Teaching Experience: A minimum of 4 years of teaching experience in relevant courses, with a proven track record of student success.
  • Examination Expertise: Experience in examining KNEC, TVET, and NITA diploma and certificate courses.
  • Pedagogical Certification: Possession of a pedagogical training certification is highly desirable.
  • Skills and Abilities:
    • Outstanding presentation, teaching, and interviewing skills.
    • Proficient in problem analysis and effective listening.
    • Strong computer skills, with high proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Professional Membership: Must be a registered member of a relevant travel and tourism professional body.
