Overview: The Directorate of Human Resource at MKU plays a pivotal role in supporting the university’s mission by attracting, developing, and retaining highly qualified staff. To maintain our competitive edge, we are seeking qualified and dynamic professionals with a strong track record to join our Finance Team as Cashiers/Accountant Assistants.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business with specialization in Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
- OR
- CPA (K) certification with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for a range of financial tasks, including but not limited to:
1. Billing Accuracy: Ensuring all billing processes are carried out accurately.
2. Payment Processing: Posting student payments and reconciling daily receipts.
3. Financial Reporting: Preparing daily cash flow statements and reporting on collections.
4. Compliance: Verifying that all financial transactions adhere to established policies and procedures.
5. Record Keeping: Managing weekly cheque runs, recording all received cheques, and preparing manual cheques when necessary.
6. Safe Custody: Ensuring the safekeeping of banking slips and carbonated receipts.
