Job Purpose

As a Business Intelligence Analyst, your primary responsibility is to empower the business with data-driven decisions by providing actionable insights and reports. This role is crucial in supporting monthly Sales Force and Commercial Sales reviews, conducting ad-hoc analysis to evaluate market trends, and project managing the CRM system implementation. Your expertise in tools like Excel, Power BI, and QlikView will be key in updating the Reporting Dashboards and enhancing the company’s ability to respond to market dynamics effectively.


Key Responsibilities

  • Report Creation and Management:
    Create, update, and circulate reports, presentations, and other relevant communications using Excel, Power BI, and other data tools, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of information.
  • Data Gathering and Validation:
    Assist in gathering data from various sources, including Third Parties, Sales, Marketing, and Finance departments. Validate and support data assembly for comprehensive analysis.
  • Data Integration Automation:
    Identify and support the automation of data integration processes, including those involving Third Parties like Distributors and IQVIA, and CRM systems.
  • Process Improvement:
    Continuously study current practices and design modifications to improve systems, ensuring that the business operates at peak efficiency.
  • Operational Metrics and Reporting:
    Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reviews and analyses of current processes using operational metrics and reports, driving continuous improvement in business operations.
  • Cross-Functional Research Coordination:
    Coordinate research activities across functions to monitor and reconcile significant variances. Refine forecasting models to incorporate updated Sales and Marketing assumptions.
  • Market and Competitive Intelligence:
    Identify relevant market-related data and competitive intelligence. Integrate these insights into the business strategy to enhance the company’s market positioning.
  • Project Presentation:
    Undertake research on various projects, presenting findings confidently and professionally to stakeholders, ensuring data-driven decisions are well-informed and actionable.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Educational Background:
    A Bachelor’s degree in Business Intelligence or a related discipline such as Computing, Data Analytics, Data Science, or other numeracy-related fields.
  • Professional Experience:
    A minimum of 3 years of experience in a business analysis role, demonstrating proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, as well as Power BI. Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a significant advantage.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    Strong skills in Excel, Power BI, and familiarity with CRM systems. A proven ability to manage and analyze large datasets effectively.
  • Analytical Mindset:
    A sharp analytical mindset, capable of conducting thorough market research and synthesizing complex data into actionable insights.
  • Project Management:
    Experience in project management, particularly in the implementation of CRM systems, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope.

This position is based in Nairobi, Kenya, a vibrant and growing hub for business in the Sub-Saharan Africa region.


Shift Hours

The role requires working from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexibility as needed to meet the demands of the business.
