BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE VACANCY

Reports to: Chief Client Engagement and Experience Officer
Department: Client Engagement

JOB PURPOSE

The Business Development Executive plays a pivotal role in identifying, engaging, and converting potential clients into valuable partnerships. By utilizing a consultative sales approach, you will foster strong relationships and contribute to the organization’s revenue growth through increased transaction volumes.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Relationship Building and Consultative Sales

Leverage a consultative sales approach to establish and nurture connections with leads provided by the Commercial Lead.

2. Compelling Presentations

Craft and deliver persuasive Demos and Pitch Decks to prospective Business Leads on a regular basis.

3. Closing Deals

Present Business Contracts to key stakeholders, strategically closing deals and welcoming new clients to the PesaLink network.

4. CRM Management

Maintain meticulous records of client interactions and activities within the CRM system.

5. Meeting Targets

Achieve and surpass business closure targets, ensuring alignment with forecast commitments and sales quotas.

6. Pipeline Health

Sustain a healthy pipeline by consistently engaging in productive sales development activities.

7. Accurate Sales Reporting

Manage and update sales forecasting data within the reporting system, enhancing opportunity management and insights.

8. Industry Relationships

Develop and nurture relationships with industry professionals and organizations to stay connected and informed.

9. Industry Engagement

Participate actively in user group meetings and trade shows to expand the organization’s presence.

10. Market Awareness

Stay at the forefront of industry trends, competitors, and company offerings, ensuring a competitive edge.

11. Versatile Contributions

Undertake additional tasks in alignment with your role’s scope and evolving organizational needs.

KEY PERFORMANCE MEASURES

  • Successful onboarding of new clients.
  • Steady growth in transaction volumes.
  • Consistent payment of Project Management Fees.

QUALIFICATIONS AND BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Business-related field.
  • Proficiency in digital banking and payment service providers.
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration (Added Advantage).
  • Minimum of five years of relevant work experience.
  • Deep understanding of client businesses, adept at identifying opportunities and positioning effective solutions.
  • Demonstrated mastery of products, industry trends, and competitive insights.
  • Proven track record of pipeline management and surpassing sales quotas.
  • Exceptional presentation and negotiation skills for complex deals.
  • Quick grasp of emerging technologies, showcasing tech-savviness.
  • Articulate communicator of value propositions and ROI.
  • Proven ability to navigate sales with multiple decision makers.
  • Skilled at coordinating internal resources for successful sales outcomes.
  • Proven success in matching customer needs with tailored solutions.
