ROLE DESCRIPTION – Business Analyst

Are you a seasoned Business Analyst with a passion for technology and insurance? We’re looking for a talented individual to join our customer’s digital team. As a Business Analyst at GOODINFO, you’ll play a critical role in bridging the gap between business and technology within the insurance industry. Your key responsibilities include demonstrating a deep understanding of the insurance sector and development processes. Additionally, we expect you to be highly analytical with strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills to identify, communicate, and resolve issues efficiently.

RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS

To be successful in this role, you need to have:

1. Professional Experience

  • Minimum of 4 years in the capacity of a Business Analyst, with a proven track record of working on small to large and complex projects.

2. Industry Knowledge

  • Minimum of 3 years working in the insurance or finance industry, with a solid working knowledge of insurance terminology and general policy workflows being highly preferred.

3. Business Requirement Documentation

  • Document business requirement specifications and user stories based on business requirements workshops and discussions.

4. Business Process Analysis

  • Document as-is and to-be business processes based on business discovery workshops.

5. Solution Development

  • Create a backlog of features and user stories that will form the basis for solution development.

6. Test Strategy

  • Design and implement an overall test strategy for projects.

7. Test Planning

  • Develop functional test plans for user stories and features under development.
  • Develop technical test plans for all solutions being developed.

8. Agile Collaboration

  • Participate in all agile ceremonies such as daily standup, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and sprint retrospectives.

9. Stakeholder Alignment

  • Review work done to ensure alignment with stakeholder requirements.

10. Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with multi-skilled and cross-functional teams including architects, developers, and business SME.

11. Documentation

  • Draft technical specifications to ensure clarity in project requirements.

12. Skills

  • Strong analytical capabilities as well as strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing skills.
  • Basic knowledge in generating process documentation.
