Job Description

Are you ready to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical solutions? Safaricom Kenya is seeking a talented Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Delivery Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of IT projects by collaborating with cross-functional teams, analyzing data, and documenting business requirements. Join us in the heart of innovation at Safaricom House, Waiyaki Way, Westlands, Nairobi.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

1. Process Evaluation and Optimization – Identify areas for improvement, anticipate requirements, and develop innovative solutions to enhance business processes.

2. Ongoing Process Reviews – Lead continuous reviews of business processes and develop strategies for optimization.

3. Stay Ahead of Trends – Keep up to date with the latest process and IT advancements to drive system automation and modernization.

4. Business Requirements Analysis – Define comprehensive business requirements and create efficient process flows.

5. Effective Communication – Communicate your insights and plans effectively with cross-functional teams and management.

6. Stakeholder Collaboration – Gather crucial information from stakeholder meetings and generate actionable reports.

7. Solution Alignment – Ensure that proposed solutions align with business needs and requirements.

8. User Acceptance Testing – Conduct thorough user acceptance testing to validate solutions.

9. Project Management – Manage projects, develop project plans, and monitor performance to achieve successful outcomes.

10. Prioritization – Prioritize initiatives based on business needs and requirements.

11. Stakeholder Liaison – Act as a liaison between stakeholders and users to facilitate communication.

12. Resource Management – Manage competing resources and priorities effectively.

13. Project Monitoring – Monitor project deliverables and ensure timely completion.

14. Process Documentation – Contribute to the design, documentation, and maintenance of system processes.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an IT Business Analyst in the IT industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
  • Familiarity with project management principles and tools.
  • Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) is a plus.
  • Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies is a plus.
