Branch Manager – BM/08/23
As a Branch Manager, you will play a pivotal role in steering the branch towards high-level performance. Your leadership and supervision will create a customer-centric culture, ensuring the attainment of the Bank’s Mission, Vision, and Strategic Objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Mentoring: Take the lead in the branch, guiding and mentoring the staff to achieve the Bank’s goals.
- Performance Targets: Drive the branch to achieve set targets in various areas, including Customer Service, Customer Retention, Deposits, and a Healthy Loan Portfolio.
- Relationship Building: Foster critical relationships within the branch, as well as with SMEs, High Net Worth Individuals, Churches, and Institutions to drive business growth.
- Diversified Portfolio: Maintain a balanced deposit portfolio across different sectors, such as Church, SME, Retail, and Corporate deposits.
- Business Development: Implement strategies for business penetration across different market segments and sectors.
- Liabilities Growth: Ensure the growth of liabilities business, including transactional, alternate, and direct banking business.
- Staff Productivity: Maintain staff productivity through support, mentorship, efficient Turnaround Time (TAT), and exceptional customer service.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to both internal and external regulatory requirements, collaborating closely with risk and compliance units.
Qualities, Qualifications & Competencies
- Values-Driven: Strong commitment to Christian values and positive societal transformation.
- Educational Background: A minimum of C+ (plus) in KCSE and an Undergraduate university degree in a Business-related field.
- Professional Qualifications: Mandatory professional qualifications in Credit Management (CCP) and/or a Diploma in Banking.
- Banking Experience: At least 5 years of banking experience, including Banking Operations and Credit Management, with 2 years in a supervisory or managerial position in a Micro Finance or Commercial Bank.
- Micro Finance Advantage: Experience in a Micro Finance Institution will be an added advantage.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency in ICT, with working knowledge of T24 being a plus.
- People Skills: Strong people management skills, with a proven ability to achieve results through others.
- Sales & Negotiation: Excellent negotiation, sales, and marketing skills.
- Customer-Centric: A customer-centric approach and exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Communication: Strong report writing and presentation skills.
- Positive Outlook: Self-driven, results-oriented individual with a positive outlook.
- Portfolio Quality: A clear focus on high portfolio quality and business profit.
- Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively and be a team player.
- Age Range: Between 33 to 42 years of age.
