Associate Director-Human Resource and Talent Development – Optiven Group

Position Summary:

As the Associate Director-Human Resource and Talent Development, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing the human resource plans to support Optiven Group’s vision and mission. Reporting directly to the Company Directors, you will be responsible for overseeing human resource initiatives, employment relations, and ensuring compliance with employment laws. Your primary goal is to create and maintain consistency and alignment of the human resources work within the HR Strategic Plan and support the overall objectives of the company.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Delivery of Human Resource Strategy: Develop and execute the human resource strategy for Optiven Group to drive organizational growth and success.
  2. Employee Relations Expertise: Be a strong and effective partner to the company directors and other peers in leadership, providing expert advice on employee relations matters.
  3. Building High-Performance Culture: Support the development of a high-performance culture in leadership teams, identifying talent upgrade opportunities and managing transitions effectively.
  4. Aligning Human Resource Initiatives: Contribute to the broader human resource agenda to ensure the business is focused on the right diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  5. Clear People Proposition: Ensure a clear, compelling, and well-articulated people proposition that sets expectations and behaviors for all employees and team leaders.
  6. Data Analysis and Compliance: Conduct research and analysis of organizational trends, ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  7. Stay Updated on HR Trends: Stay abreast of trends, best practices, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law to inform upper management of policy changes.
  8. Collaborative Leadership: Work in partnership with the human resource team, fostering collaboration regardless of reporting lines.
  9. Shaping People Changes: Take accountability for shaping and implementing people changes and projects to support the business growth agenda.

  1. Stakeholder Relationship Building: Develop strong relationships with stakeholders, becoming an integral part of the Optiven Group leadership teams.
  2. Successful Change and Transformation: Inspire and lead change and transformation programs with successful outcomes, delivered on time and within budget.
  3. Ambitious People and Talent Strategy: Develop and deliver an ambitious people and talent strategy that aligns with current and future business goals.
  4. Overseeing Organizational Development: Overlook Organizational Development and Organizational Transformation initiatives.
  5. Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data and analytics to provide insights and influence decisions.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Arts, or related field required.
  • MBA in Strategic Human Resource Management or a related field is a must.
  • Certified Human Resource Professional certification (CHRP-K) and full member of IHRM.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in senior managerial roles within Human Resources.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Extensive experience in recruiting, employee relations, talent management, and other HR functions.

  5. HRIS Proficiency: Familiarity with HRIS and talent management systems.
