ASSISTANT CLAIMS ANALYST – GENERAL BUSINESS

Full-Time Position in Nairobi

Purpose:

At CIC Group, we’re on a mission to ensure customer satisfaction through efficient and prompt claims settlement. Join us as an Assistant Claims Analyst and play a pivotal role in achieving this goal.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Claims Registration and Analysis (E)

  • Register and analyze intimated claims promptly.
  • Advise clients on the required claims documents.

2. Service Provider Coordination (D)

  • Appoint service providers when necessary.

3. Claims Assessment and Approval (E)

  • Analyze adjuster/investigator claim reports.
  • Recommend settlement, approval, or admission of claims.

4. Claims Processing (E)

  • Process fully documented claims efficiently.
  • Refer any suspicious claims to the supervisor for review.

5. Reinsurance and Recovery Initiatives (D)

  • Initiate reinsurance and third-party recoveries through well-crafted demand letters.

6. Claims Management (E)

  • Review claims reserves continuously, adapting to new developments.
  • Close files promptly once all payments are made.

7. Service Provider Invoice Handling (E)

  • Process all service provider invoices and payments according to our high standards.

8. Discharge Vouchers (E)

  • Issue discharge vouchers for all fully documented claims.

9. Customer Support (A)

  • Attend to customer queries and complaints promptly and professionally.

10. Risk Improvement (D)

  • Communicate risk improvement measures to underwriters for appropriate action.

11. Claims Reporting (E)

  • Prepare various claims analysis reports for clients and management.

Key Skills, Knowledge, Experience, and Behavioral Competencies:

Academic and Professional Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field (E).
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other office applications (E).
  • Part qualification in a relevant professional field in IIK or ACII (D).

Experience Required:

  • 2 years of relevant experience (E).
