KBC is excited to announce industrial attachment opportunities for the September – November 2024 intake. These opportunities are open to Undergraduate, Diploma, and Certificate-level students who are eager to gain practical exposure and on-the-job experience in a dynamic workplace environment. This initiative aligns with the Government’s Youth Empowerment Project, aiming to nurture a pool of young talents ready for the Kenyan Labour Market.

Key Responsibilities

Engage in Diverse Departments

Students selected for the industrial attachment will be placed in various departments within KBC, allowing them to gain insights into different aspects of broadcasting and media operations. This placement will offer invaluable hands-on experience, fostering the application of theoretical knowledge in real-world scenarios.

Maximize Learning and Development

During the attachment period, students will have the opportunity to:

  • Apply knowledge from their respective areas of study.
  • Learn new skills essential for their professional growth.
  • Develop professional networks within the broadcasting industry.
  • Understand workplace expectations and dynamics.

Specific Tasks and Duties

The specific tasks assigned will vary depending on the department of placement but may include:

  • Assisting with broadcast production tasks.

Eligibility and Selection Criteria

Academic Requirements

  • 3rd or 4th-year degree students from a recognized University.
  • 2nd-year Diploma students from a recognized College.

  • Submit a copy of their National Identification card or Passport (attached).

Selection Process

The selection for this industrial attachment will be based on the following criteria:

  • The Corporation’s ability to accommodate the trainee.
  • Availability of requisite facilities and attachment slots.
  • A first-come, first-served basis.
  • Year of study – preference is given to 3rd and 4th-year degree students, and 2nd-year Diploma students.

Attachment Duration

The industrial attachment opportunities are available for a non-renewable period of three (3) months, starting from 2nd September 2024 and ending on 29th November 2024.
