Key Responsibilities

As the Alarms/Projects Technician, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Technical Installations and Maintenance: Perform high-quality installations, breakdown resolution, and maintenance of Alarm Systems, CCTV, Access Control Systems, Fire Alarms, and Vehicle Barriers. Ensure all work adheres to KSIA technical standards.
• Client Servicing: Deliver superior customer service by promptly responding to and resolving technical issues. Provide training to clients on using installed security systems to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all technical operations, including job cards, service schedules, and incident reports. Ensure all documentation is submitted to the supervisor promptly.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the technical team to enhance the performance of security systems, support new team members, and participate in both internal and external meetings.
• Technical Surveys and Administrative Support: Assist in conducting surveys to identify client security needs and ensure that all administrative duties, such as delivering invoices and contracts, are completed in a timely manner.
• Upgrades and Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with industry trends and technological advancements. Participate in training sessions on system upgrades as required by market demands.
• Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety regulations and practices, including maintaining a clean work environment and adhering to waste management policies.

Qualifications & Experience

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Education: A Degree or Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or Telecommunication from a recognized institution.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the technical security industry, with proven expertise in the installation and maintenance of Alarm Systems, CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarms, and Vehicle Barrier Systems.
• Technical Expertise: Familiarity with KSIA and KBA technical standards and hands-on experience in conducting technical surveys and resolving technical issues in line with industry best practices.

• Problem-Solving: Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Customer Service: Exceptional customer focus with the ability to train clients and respond to their concerns.
• Interpersonal Skills: Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in computer use, technical surveys, and report writing. Basic knowledge of telephone handling and project management is an added advantage.
• Flexibility: Willingness to meet client needs, which may include the use of logistics vehicles like motorcycles or alarm response vehicles for rapid response.
• Self-Management: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines.
