Job Summary:

Join Samakgro Limited, a rapidly growing company, as an Accounts Intern at our Naivasha Plant. This position offers an exciting opportunity for career growth and development. As an Accounts Intern, you will be responsible for various accounting tasks, including journal entries, financial reporting, and assisting in audits.

Responsibilities:

1. Journal Entries and Transaction Processing:
   • Prepare and post journal entries for various accounts and transactions.
   • Utilize accounting software such as ERP-SAP to process sales orders, invoices, purchase orders, and bank transactions.
2. Financial Reconciliation and Reporting:
   • Prepare bank reconciliations for all banks.
   • Perform regular reconciliation of accounts to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
   • Assist in financial reporting, tax compliance, and provide support for audits.
3. Document Management:
   • File all documents including invoices and vouchers for easy retrieval and reference.
4. Month-end and Year-end Processes:
   • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
5. Additional Duties:
   • Support the finance team with any other duties assigned from time to time.

Qualifications:

1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
2. Skills and Competencies:
   • Knowledge of basic principles and practices of accounting and financial analysis.
   • Ability to work under tight deadlines, handle pressure, and manage multiple concurrent activities.
   • Proficiency in using spreadsheets and other MS Office applications.
   • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
   • Willingness to learn with a positive attitude.
