Equity Afia, a trusted healthcare provider in Kenya, is looking to hire Accounts Assistant/Claims Officers for our branches in Kinoo and Kawangware. Key Responsibilities
As an Accounts Assistant/Claims Officer, your responsibilities will include:
- Claims Management:
- Process and verify medical claims for accuracy and completeness.
- Reconcile claims with services provided by the respective branch.
- Prepare detailed claims reports for internal use and audit purposes.
- Accounting Tasks:
- Record daily financial transactions systematically.
- Assist in preparing reconciliations and financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with Equity Afia’s accounting policies and procedures.
- Administrative Support:
- Handle claims-related correspondence professionally and efficiently.
- Support internal and external audits by providing the required documentation.
- Customer Service:
- Resolve client queries regarding claims and billing promptly.
- Offer guidance on the claims process to patients and staff.
- Compliance and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial and claims records.
- Ensure adherence to legal and organizational requirements.
Qualifications and Skills
To succeed in the Accounts Assistant/Claims Officer role, you must meet the following criteria:
Education and Certification:
- Hold CPA Part Two certification.
Technical Proficiency:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
- Competent in using accounting and claims management software.
Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in accounting or claims processing.
Additional Requirements:
- Possess a valid Certificate of Good Conduct.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
