Job Overview

The State Department for Social Protection and Senior Citizen Affairs is actively seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Enumerators. This exciting opportunity involves a 21-day casual assignment focusing on data collection across various counties in Kenya. The successful candidates will play a crucial role in gathering valuable information to support social protection initiatives.

  3. Kiambu (833 positions)
  4. Busia (730 positions)
  5. Uasin Gishu (658 positions)
  6. Bomet (521 positions)
  7. Siaya (495 positions)
  8. Kericho (380 positions)
  9. Trans Nzoia (425 positions)
  10. Nandi (432 positions)
  11. Nyeri (312 positions)
  12. Embu (276 positions)

Key Responsibilities

As an Enumerator, your main duties will include:

  • Conducting thorough and accurate data collection in assigned areas.
  • Ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Engaging with local residents to gather required information.
  • Completing daily reports and targets as outlined in the appointment letter.
  • Adhering to all guidelines and protocols established by the State Department for Social Protection and Senior Citizen Affairs.

Qualifications and Skills

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • At least a mean grade of C- (Minus) or its equivalent from form four level of education.
  • Proficiency in computer skills.
  • Residency in the assigned location and fluency in the local language. Urban centers are considered metropolitan exceptions.

Remuneration and Benefits

Successful candidates will receive:

  • Daily wages of Kshs. 1,000 per day, based on daily targets as outlined in the appointment letter.
  • Transport allowance of Kshs. 500 per day to facilitate data collection.
  • Airtime will be provided for communication purposes.
