Pan Africa Christian University invites qualified candidates to apply for the following positions. The University is committed to hiring individuals who are born-again Christians and active members of a local church. 1. Associate Professor of Counseling Psychology

Job Purpose: The Associate Professor of Counseling Psychology will engage in research, teaching, and the design of appropriate learning materials, and will deliver course modules that contribute to the academic growth and development of the University.

Minimum Requirements:

  • PhD in Counseling Psychology or a related field from an accredited and recognized university.
  • Three (3) years of teaching experience at the university level as a senior lecturer, senior researcher, or equivalent industry experience.
  • A minimum of forty-eight (48) publication points as a senior lecturer or equivalent, with at least thirty-two (32) points from refereed scholarly journals.
  • Supervision of at least four (4) postgraduate students to completion, including at least one at the doctoral level.
  • Proven ability to attract research or development funds.
  • Registration with a relevant professional body (where applicable).
  • For candidates from research institutions or industry, adherence to the provisions in Table 3.5 as per CUE criteria for the appointment and promotion of academic staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching and Learning: Design and deliver course modules to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
  • Continuous Assessments: Administer and oversee the evaluation of student performance through assessments.
  • Examination Management: Set, administer, and mark examinations.
  • Research and Scholarship: Engage in research and scholarly activities, contributing to the University’s academic reputation.
  • Community Outreach: Participate in community service and outreach activities as required by the University.

2. Editor

Job Purpose: The Editor will oversee publishing projects focused on Christian discipleship, leadership, and education, ensuring content aligns with the University’s mission and standards.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Publishing, Education, or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • Five (5) years of post-qualification experience in publishing Christian materials.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with an excellent portfolio.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, InDesign, Photoshop, or other publishing tools is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Coordination: Align Christian content with publication standards, goals, and expectations.
  • Manuscript Improvement: Suggest and implement changes to improve manuscripts on Christian themes.
  • Layout Oversight: Manage the layout, including artwork, design, and photography, ensuring content accuracy.
  • Proofreading and Editing: Proofread and edit manuscripts to meet the highest standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with designers, authors, and other editors to produce high-quality publications.
  • Deadline Management: Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

3. Regional Coordinator for the Transformational Church Leadership (TCL) Program

Job Purpose: The Regional Coordinator will oversee several learning centers, ensuring that programs align with the goals and objectives of the University and are delivered efficiently.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Education or Bible and Theology from an accredited institution. A Master’s Degree is preferred.
  • Three (3) years of experience as a Coordinator in a similar role.
  • Administrative Skills: Proven ability in program promotion, facilitation, supervision, and reporting.
  • Team Leadership: Strong team-leading skills with the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching and Learning: Design and deliver course modules within the TCL program.
  • Assessment Administration: Oversee the administration of Continuous Assessments and exams.
  • Program Marketing: Promote the TCL programs to increase enrollment and participation.
  • Coordination: Liaise with program facilitators, stakeholders, and partners to ensure effective program delivery.

4. Senior Administrative Assistant – Administration

Job Purpose: The Senior Administrative Assistant will plan, direct, and coordinate the administrative duties and daily operations of the University.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or a related social science field from a recognized institution.
  • Eight (8) years of experience in administrative roles, preferably in a university setting.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Proficient in verbal and written communication.
  • Customer Service: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to provide excellent customer service.
  • Organizational Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage time and organize tasks efficiently.
  • Entrepreneurial Skills: Ability to take initiative and drive projects forward.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of people.
  • Adherence to PAC University Statement of Faith.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support: Provide support to the Registrar Administration.
  • Daily Operations: Manage the day-to-day administrative operations of the University.
  • Policy Development: Develop and implement policies that align with the University’s mission.
  • Promotion: Promote University programs and events to increase enrollment and public awareness.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the inventory of furniture and equipment.
  • Event Coordination: Assist in the coordination of events and logistical arrangements.
  • Maintenance Oversight: Identify and report maintenance issues to ensure timely resolution.

5. Senior Administrative Assistant – Housing & Hospitality

Job Purpose: The Senior Administrative Assistant will support the Housing & Hospitality Manager in ensuring efficient operations of the University’s guest houses, conferencing facilities, and accommodation services.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel and Institutional Management or a related field.
  • Five (5) years of experience in institutional management, preferably in a university or college setting.
  • Work Planning: Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Staff Supervision: Experience in supervising staff and managing disciplinary matters.
  • Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety and hygiene standards.
  • Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and service.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Adherence to PAC University Statement of Faith.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Support: Assist the Housing and Hospitality Manager with administrative and operational tasks.
  • Marketing Support: Participate in marketing the University’s guest houses and conferencing facilities.
  • Policy Implementation: Support the implementation of policies governing the use of housing and hospitality facilities.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through adherence to service principles.
  • Maintenance Coordination: Oversee the maintenance of student, staff, and guest accommodation.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of housing and hospitality operations.
  • Budget Support: Assist in the management of the housing and hospitality budget.

6. Administrative Assistant – Administration

Job Purpose: The Administrative Assistant will coordinate departmental administrative duties and liaise with Deans and Heads of Departments for efficient day-to-day operations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • Three (3) years of experience in an administrative role, preferably in a university setting.
  • Communication Skills: Proficient in English with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage time and tasks effectively.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work well with diverse groups.
  • Adherence to PAC University Statement of Faith.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance to assigned departments.
  • Operational Management: Ensure smooth day-to-day operations within departments.
  • Document Safekeeping: Manage and secure all departmental documents.
  • Event Management: Assist in managing meetings and departmental events.
  • Promotion: Promote departmental programs and events to enhance visibility and enrollment.
  • Inventory Management: Keep track of departmental inventory, including furniture and equipment.
  • Event Support: Assist with University events and activities.
