1. Manager, Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
Job Grade: PA3

Reporting To: Director, Corporate Services
Job Overview:
We are looking for a Manager, ICT who will drive the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust ICT infrastructure at the Privatisation Authority. The ideal candidate will ensure business continuity, disaster recovery, and the security of information assets. This is a pivotal role in ensuring our technology aligns with both operational needs and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop ICT Strategy: Lead the creation of the Authority’s ICT strategy and related policies.
- Provide Expert Advice: Advise senior management on ICT-related policies and strategies.
- Implement ICT Infrastructure: Oversee the design and deployment of the Authority’s ICT infrastructure.
- Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery: Implement effective strategies to safeguard critical business functions and ensure disaster recovery readiness.
- Information Security: Safeguard the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets.
- User Support: Ensure continuous user support and training across departments.
- ICT Systems Management: Manage the Authority’s ERP, Customer Management Systems, and telephony systems.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in a management role.
- Education: Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Computer Science, ICT, or related fields.
- Certifications: Professional qualifications such as CISCO, ORACLE, CISA, CISM, or MCITP.
- Leadership: Proven ability to manage human and financial resources.
- Compliance: Must meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
2. Principal Information and Communication Technology Officer
Job Grade: PA4
Job Reference: PA/PICTO/09/2024
Reporting To: Manager, ICT
Job Overview:
We are looking for a Principal ICT Officer responsible for coordinating software development, supporting end-users, and ensuring the efficiency of our ICT systems. This role involves overseeing system security, ensuring business process continuity, and delivering cost-effective ICT solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Staff Coordination: Lead the ICT staff in software development and training.
- System Security: Ensure the security and availability of ICT systems, including backup and recovery procedures.
- Project Management: Ensure ICT projects are completed within time and budget.
- User Support: Provide end-user support to optimize the use of ICT tools and resources.
- System Enhancement: Collaborate with departments to ensure ICT systems meet operational needs.
Requirements:
- Experience: At least 8 years of relevant work experience, including 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Education: Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in ICT, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Certifications: Membership in a professional body, such as ICTAK or ISACA.
- Leadership: Experience in managing ICT projects and teams.
- Compliance: Must meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
3. Senior Information and Communication Technology Officer
Job Grade: PA5
Job Reference: PA/SICTO/09/2024
Reporting To: Principal ICT Officer
Job Overview:
We are looking for a Senior ICT Officer who will oversee software administration and ensure the proper functionality of ICT systems. This role supports system design, software development, and ensures adherence to ICT standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Administration: Provide support for ICT software design, development, and implementation.
- ICT Standards: Ensure compliance with system and application design standards.
- Feasibility Studies: Conduct evaluations and feasibility studies for system improvements.
- Supervision: Oversee software use, maintenance, and ICT infrastructure updates.
- Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on system usage.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in public or private institutions.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or ICT.
- Certifications: Membership in a professional body, such as ICTAK or ISACA.
- Supervision: Proven track record of supervisory responsibilities.
- Compliance: Must meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
4. Senior Records Management Officer
Job Grade: PA5
Job Reference: PA/SRMO/09/2024
Reporting To: Manager, Human Resources & Administration
Job Overview:
The Senior Records Management Officer will develop and implement effective records management systems, ensuring proper storage, retrieval, and disposal of documents. This role is essential in maintaining the Authority’s documentation integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Records Management: Oversee the creation, storage, retrieval, and archiving of documents.
- Security: Ensure the security of files and sensitive documents.
- Compliance: Ensure all document disposal and retention procedures comply with regulations.
- Technology Integration: Implement technological solutions for better document management.
- Registry Management: Plan office accommodation for efficient registry operations.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience in records management.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Records Management or a related field.
- Supervision: Experience in a supervisory role.
- Technology Skills: Proficiency in computer applications.
- Compliance: Must meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
Terms of Service and Remuneration
- Manager, ICT (PA3): Appointed on a 5-year renewable contract, subject to performance.
- Principal and Senior Officers (PA4 & PA5): Appointed on permanent and pensionable terms.
An attractive remunerative package, commensurate with qualifications and experience, will be offered to successful candidates, in line with Government guidelines.
