Introduction

The EAC Civil Aviation Safety and Security Oversight Agency (EAC-CASSOA) is an esteemed institution within the East African Community (EAC), dedicated to ensuring effective aviation safety and security oversight across its Partner States. We are committed to recruiting qualified, highly motivated, self-driven, and result-oriented individuals for the following positions:

  1. Estates Management Assistant (G4) (CAS/HR/001/2024-2025)
  2. Office Secretary (G4) (CAS/HR/002/2024-2025)
  3. Procurement Officer (P1) (CAS/HR/003/2024-2025)

1. Estates Management Assistant (G4) (CAS/HR/001/2024-2025)

Job Summary

The Estates Management Assistant will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the agency’s property assets. This includes ensuring maintenance, security, and overall efficiency of estate management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee maintenance and repair of agency properties.
  • Monitor property usage and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Prepare reports and maintain accurate records of estate management activities.
  • Assist in budgeting and financial management related to estate operations.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Estate Management, Real Estate, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in estate or property management.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

2. Office Secretary (G4) (CAS/HR/002/2024-2025)

Job Summary

The Office Secretary will provide comprehensive administrative support to ensure efficient office operations, including handling correspondence, scheduling, and record-keeping.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate office communications and schedules.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and correspondence.
  • Assist in organizing meetings and events.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Diploma or degree in Secretarial Studies, Office Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven administrative experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and office equipment.

3. Procurement Officer (P1) (CAS/HR/003/2024-2025)

Job Summary

The Procurement Officer will be responsible for managing procurement processes, ensuring timely acquisition of goods and services, and maintaining compliance with procurement policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee procurement processes and manage vendor relationships.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders and contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement regulations and policies.
  • Monitor and report on procurement performance and expenditure.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Experience in procurement and supply chain management.
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Estates Management Assistant: Open to candidates from the Republic of Rwanda, Republic of Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Republic of South Sudan, Democratic Republic of Congo, and the Federal Republic of Somalia.
  • Office Secretary: Open to candidates from the Republic of Rwanda, Republic of Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Republic of South Sudan, Democratic Republic of Congo, and the Federal Republic of Somalia.
  • Procurement Officer: Open to candidates from the Republic of Burundi, Republic of Kenya, Republic of South Sudan, Democratic Republic of Congo, and the Federal Republic of Somalia.
