1. Assistant Program Officer – Social Work
Duty Location: NCCK Nairobi Region, Kiambu County, Lari Sub County
Job Purpose
The Assistant Program Officer – Social Work will assist the Case Manager in monitoring and reporting on all project activities related to case management and service delivery for OVC (Orphans and Vulnerable Children) and their families.
Key Responsibilities
As the Assistant Program Officer – Social Work, your main duties will include:
- Supporting the Case Manager in monitoring and reporting on all project activities.
- Ensuring the implementation of effective case management and service delivery programs for OVC and their families.
- Conducting field visits to assess and document the progress of case management activities.
- Collaborating with community members and stakeholders to foster awareness and support for program objectives.
- Maintaining detailed and accurate records of case management activities and outcomes.
- Preparing comprehensive reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Identifying challenges in program implementation and proposing actionable solutions.
Key Qualifications/Skills/Competencies/Experience Required
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Environmental Health, Public Health, Social Work, Community Development, or any related field from a recognized university.
- Experience:
- At least two (2) years of experience in OVC case management implementation.
- Key Competencies:
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in monitoring and evaluating project activities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
2. Data Assistant
Duty Location: NCCK Nairobi Region – Kiambu Office, Ruaka
Job Purpose
The Data Assistant will be responsible for ensuring that all program data is accurately entered into a computerized database in preparation for analysis.
Key Responsibilities
As the Data Assistant, your primary duties will include:
- Entering program data accurately into a computer-based database for analysis.
- Supporting the monitoring and evaluation activities of OVC care and support projects.
- Generating detailed reports based on analyzed data for internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintaining the confidentiality and security of program data.
- Troubleshooting database-related issues and ensuring smooth data management processes.
- Documenting and updating changes made to the database system.
Key Qualifications/Skills/Competencies/Experience Required
To excel in this role, you must have the following:
- Educational Qualification:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Social Work, Public Health, or a related field.
- Experience:
- A minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience in monitoring and evaluation activities, particularly in OVC care and support projects.
- Key Competencies:
- Familiarity with CPIMS or OVC databases is highly desirable.
- Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
