Key Responsibilities
1. Vihiga Municipal Manager
- Develop and oversee municipal policies and regulations.
- Manage municipal projects, including planning and implementation.
- Supervise municipal staff and ensure effective service delivery.
- Prepare periodic reports for submission to relevant authorities.
2. Ward Administrators
- Coordinate administrative functions at the ward level.
- Facilitate community engagement and public participation in governance.
- Monitor the implementation of county projects within the ward.
- Prepare detailed reports on ward development activities.
3. Enforcement Officers
- Enforce county laws and regulations.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance.
- Manage public order during county events.
- Address violations promptly and prepare enforcement reports.
4. ECDE Teachers
- Deliver early childhood education programs.
- Create a safe and engaging learning environment.
- Prepare lesson plans and maintain records of student performance.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to support child development.
5. ECDE Sub-County Program Officers
- Supervise ECDE centers within the sub-county.
- Monitor and evaluate ECDE program implementation.
- Train and mentor ECDE teachers.
- Develop strategies for improving early childhood education standards.
6. Vocational Training Trainers
- Teach and train students in specialized vocational trades.
- Develop training materials and curricula.
- Assess students’ progress through tests and practical evaluations.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards in training environments.
Qualifications and Skills
General Requirements for All Positions
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Adequate knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Specific Requirements for Key Roles
- Vihiga Municipal Manager:
- A degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in municipal management.
- Ward Administrators:
- A diploma or degree in Public Administration or equivalent qualifications.
- Proven experience in community engagement.
- Enforcement Officers:
- Certificate in security or related training.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations effectively.
- ECDE Teachers:
- A certificate or diploma in Early Childhood Development and Education.
- Passion for teaching and child development.
- Vocational Training Trainers:
- A diploma in Technical Education or a specific trade specialization.
- Certification in competency-based training (CBT) is an added advantage.
