Key Responsibilities
Inception Phase (First 3 Months)
- Define Project Scope, Objectives, and Deliverables: Collaborate with the Program Management Team Lead and Implementing Partners (IPs) to establish clear project goals and milestones.
- Intervention Design: Co-create interventions with partners, focusing on the selection of technologies and business models.
- Monitoring & Evaluation Plan: Develop robust monitoring frameworks with MEL and Data teams to measure program impact accurately.
- Partner Selection: Identify and contract program implementing partners to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Workplan and Budget Development: Create a comprehensive work plan and budget that align with project deliverables.
Program Implementation Period
- Daily Oversight: Monitor program activities and ensure timely adherence to work plans and deliverables.
- Deployment of CES Appliances: Oversee distribution of 2,050 CES appliances, reaching 5,000 women in the agriculture sector.
- Data Collection and Learning: Collaborate with M&E partners to gather insights on CES adoption barriers, productivity impacts, and income changes.
- Adapt Strategies: Address barriers to CES uptake by employing creative and strategic approaches to enhance program efficiency.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Foster seamless communication among partners and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
Reporting and Compliance
- Knowledge Management: Provide input for bi-annual reports, case studies, and field surveys.
- Compliance: Maintain adherence to GEAPP and Gates Foundation’s regulatory frameworks.
- Fraud Prevention: Implement stringent fraud prevention measures, including proper documentation and site visits.
- Budget Optimization: Work closely with the Program Accounting Associate to manage resources effectively.
Partner and Stakeholder Engagement
- Communication Management: Ensure transparent and efficient communication with all stakeholders.
- Networking: Build partnerships that expand the program’s reach and strengthen its impact.
Qualifications and Skills
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Project Management, International Development, Economics, or Renewable Energy.
- 4-6 years of experience managing donor-funded programs, such as those from Mastercard Foundation, USAID, or Gates Foundation.
- Strong knowledge of donor regulations and policies, especially reporting and compliance requirements.
Preferred Skills
- Certification in PRINCE2 or PMP.
- Familiarity with renewable energy, agrifood systems, and the intersection of gender and youth.
- Proven ability to manage budgets and prevent fraud effectively.
