Introduction

We are currently seeking a highly motivated, mature, and organized Agricultural Site Manager for our Sindo Agricultural Site in Homa Bay. This role is critical for ensuring the efficient management of site operations, building strong relationships with farmers, and upholding quality standards. As the Agricultural Site Manager, you will directly influence the success of our site and support the livelihoods of smallholder farmers. Key Responsibilities

1. Site Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all site activities, ensuring operational efficiency and fostering a productive work environment.
  • Maintain open communication with all site personnel, ensuring issues are promptly addressed and resolved.

2. Farmer Engagement

  • Lead the production team in conducting regular visits to smallholder farmers, building trustful relationships and addressing their needs.
  • Assist farmers in understanding best agricultural practices to optimize their productivity and produce quality.

3. Produce Grading

  • Oversee the grading and quality control process for all agricultural products, ensuring compliance with established quality standards.
  • Implement grading protocols that meet both regulatory and market demands.

4. Staff Coordination

  • Develop and manage staffing schedules to ensure coverage and effective performance at all times.
  • Conduct training sessions to improve staff skills and enhance productivity.

5. Data Management

  • Ensure precise and timely data collection on various operational metrics, reporting findings to the executive team.
  • Use data to inform operational decisions and optimize site processes.

6. Financial Oversight

  • Monitor all financial aspects of site operations, ensuring timely and fair payments to both farmers and site staff.
  • Manage budgets and resources to maintain efficient, cost-effective operations.

7. Compliance

  • Enforce adherence to all standard operating procedures, safety regulations, and best practices in agricultural site management.
  • Conduct regular compliance checks and audits, addressing any discrepancies or areas needing improvement.

8. Performance Monitoring
