As part of the community development mission, Ol Pejeta is seeking a Digital Learning Officer to lead the Digital Literacy Program for schools in Laikipia, ensuring that technology enhances education and supports conservation efforts.
Key Responsibilities
The Digital Learning Officer will oversee and manage the Digital Literacy Program, ensuring schools receive continuous ICT support and training to enhance education quality through digital means. Responsibilities include:
- Implementing Digital Learning Technology: Deliver and maintain digital learning technology as part of the African Ruggedized Education System (ARES) in schools supported by Ol Pejeta and its partners/donors.
- Technical Support: Provide ICT-related technical support to schools, ensuring all resources function effectively to support Ol Pejeta’s Digital Literacy Program.
- Collaborating with Educators: Work closely with teachers to support the integration of digital tools and approaches into the curriculum, enhancing teaching and learning experiences.
- Maintaining ICT Labs: Ensure ICT labs are accessible, functional, and continuously utilized for educational purposes, proactively monitoring and upgrading as necessary.
- Managing Partner Communications: Coordinate and communicate with local and international partners, donors, and the Ministry of Education to ensure alignment and support for program objectives and resources.
- Overseeing ICT Maintenance: Manage equipment maintenance and proactively address emerging trends, keeping technology and learning strategies updated and relevant.
Qualifications and Skills

- Educational Background: A Degree in IT, Education, or a related field.
