Job Summary

Jijenge Credit, a leading financial service provider, is currently seeking a Staff Driver to join our team in Nairobi, Kenya. As a Staff Driver, you will be responsible for providing reliable and safe transportation for our staff members and ensuring that all assigned duties are performed with the highest level of professionalism. This role requires an individual with excellent driving skills, a solid understanding of road safety regulations, and a commitment to punctuality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

As a Staff Driver, your primary duties will include:

  • Transporting staff to various destinations in a safe and timely manner.
  • Maintaining the company vehicles, including performing routine checks and ensuring cleanliness at all times.
  • Planning efficient routes and adjusting routes when necessary to avoid traffic congestion or delays.
  • Assisting staff with loading and unloading equipment or documents as needed.
  • Adhering to road safety laws and regulations, ensuring that all trips comply with local traffic regulations.
  • Keeping accurate records of vehicle use, including mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance logs.
  • Providing logistical support during staff events, meetings, and official functions.

Qualifications and Skills

We are looking for a professional driver with the following qualifications:

  • Valid Kenyan driving license with a clean driving record.
  • Proven experience as a driver, preferably in a corporate setting.
  • Excellent knowledge of Nairobi’s road network and surrounding areas.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well with a team.
  • A strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and road safety regulations.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours when needed, including evenings or weekends.

Preferred Skills

While not mandatory, the following skills and certifications will be considered an advantage:

  • Defensive driving certification.
  • Previous experience working in a corporate environment.
  • Knowledge of basic vehicle repair and troubleshooting.
