Enumerator Positions
Overview
The State Department for Social Protection and Senior Citizen Affairs is seeking 7,264 casual enumerators for a twenty-one (21) day assignment to conduct data collection across various counties in Kenya. This role is crucial in supporting the department’s data gathering efforts to improve social protection programs.
Locations and Positions Available (6,582)
Enumerators will be required in the following counties:
- Uasin Gishu: 658 positions
- Bomet: 521 positions
- Nyeri: 312 positions
- Nakuru: 1,002 positions
- Siaya: 495 positions
- Kiambu: 833 positions
- Nandi: 432 positions
- Nairobi: 1,495 positions
- Embu: 276 positions
- Busia: 730 positions
- Trans Nzoia: 425 positions
- Kericho: 380 positions
Job Responsibilities
- Collect accurate data as per the guidelines provided in the appointment letter.
- Engage with the local community to ensure comprehensive data collection.
- Submit daily reports and data collected to the designated supervisors.
- Adhere to daily targets as outlined in the appointment letter.
Qualifications
- Minimum Education: At least a mean grade of C- (Minus) or its equivalent at the form four level.
- Computer Proficiency: Basic skills required for data entry and management.
- Residency: Must be a resident of the location where applying and conversant with the local language. Urban centres are considered metropolitan exceptions.
Remuneration and Benefits
- Daily Wages: Kshs. 1,000 per day, based on daily targets.
- Transport Allowance: Kshs. 500 per day.
- Airtime: Provided for data collection purposes.

Enumerator Supervisor Positions – (684)
Overview
The State Department for Social Protection and Senior Citizen Affairs is also recruiting enumerator supervisors for a twenty-one (21) day period. These supervisors will oversee data collection and ensure accuracy across designated counties.

- Nyeri: 32 positions
- Nakuru: 101 positions
- Siaya: 50 positions
- Kiambu: 84 positions

- Nairobi: 150 positions
- Embu: 28 positions
- Busia: 73 positions
- Trans Nzoia: 43 positions
- Kericho: 38 positions
Job Responsibilities
- Supervise enumerators to ensure proper data collection and adherence to guidelines.
- Verify data accuracy and report any discrepancies to the department.
- Provide support and guidance to enumerators.
- Ensure daily targets are met and report progress to senior management.
Qualifications
- Minimum Education: At least a mean grade of C Plain or its equivalent at the form four level.
- Computer Proficiency: Essential for managing and reporting data.
- Residency: Must be a resident of the location where applying and conversant with the local language.
- Additional Advantage: Community Health Volunteers with leadership experience.
Remuneration and Benefits
- Daily Wages: Kshs. 1,300 per day, based on daily targets.
- Transport Allowance: Kshs. 1,000 per day.
- Airtime: Provided for supervisory tasks.
