The Engineering Apprentice Technician will attend aircraft maintenance basic courses, pass company examinations, and acquire a basic KCAA license without type rating.

Job Responsibilities

Principal Accountabilities:

Attend Induction and Mandatory Courses:

• Participate in introductory and required training sessions.

Attend Basic Aircraft Maintenance Courses:

• Engage in foundational aircraft maintenance education.

Pass Company Examinations:

• Successfully complete internal examinations.

Perform Assigned Maintenance Tasks (OJT):

• Conduct maintenance tasks during on-the-job training (OJT).

Prepare for KCAA License Examinations:

• Plan and prepare for the KCAA license without type rating examinations.

Participate in Additional Activities:

• Engage in activities and events that foster a robust professional network.

Collaborate with Engineering Teams:

• Work closely with experienced engineering teams throughout the training cycle.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

Educational Requirements:

• Diploma or HND in Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering from a recognized institution.
• KCSE aggregate C+ with C+ in Mathematics, English, and Physics.

Experience:

• 2-3 years of proven maintenance experience.

Training Requirements:

• Proof of attachment during training.

Other Skills:

Knowledge of KCARs:

• Understanding of Kenyan Civil Aviation Regulations (KCARs).

Aircraft Maintenance Manuals:

• Working knowledge of aircraft maintenance manuals.

Aircraft Systems:

• Good knowledge of aircraft systems.

Communication Skills:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Cultural Adaptability:

• Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
