Job Summary

Are you an experienced and motivated internal auditor looking for a new challenge? Canaan East Company Limited is seeking a seasoned internal auditor to lead and conduct risk-based audits, ensuring that our business operations align with our values, policies, and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will provide independent assurance on the effectiveness of internal controls, identify areas for improvement, and develop recommendations for mitigation.

Responsibilities

Lead and Conduct Risk-Based Audits

• Lead and conduct risk-based audits across various departments and business units.
• Identify and assess control risks, and recommend improvements.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with auditees, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

Identify and Report Material Weaknesses

• Identify and report material weaknesses in internal controls.
• Recommend corrective actions to management.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive audit reports, including findings, recommendations, and action plans.

Collaborate with Management

• Collaborate with management to implement audit recommendations and monitor progress.
• Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and professional standards.
• Supervise junior auditors and provide guidance and mentorship.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Professional certification in internal auditing.
• Minimum of 5 years of internal auditing experience with a reputable organization.
• Proven track record of conducting audits.
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong knowledge of auditing standards, regulations, and professional ethics.

What We Offer

• Salary: KES 120,000 – 150,000 Gross
