Job Overview: Are you ready to lead impactful change and empower vulnerable communities? Rescue Dada Centre is seeking a dynamic individual to join us as the Head of Department-Livelihood. In this role, you will not only manage operational activities but also serve as an Empowerment Officer, driving our mission to enhance livelihoods and empower caregivers. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

1. Management:

Development and Coordination:

  • Formulate and implement monthly departmental work plans aligned with the annual work plan and SOP.
  • Ensure adherence to the department budget and timely utilization of available funds.

Operational Oversight:

  • Conduct fortnightly Departmental Meetings to review progress and revise work plans.
  • Maintain accurate documentation as per RDC reporting templates.

2. Implementation:

Caregiver Engagement:

  • Lead case assessment, exit identification, livelihood assessment, and support planning.
  • Drive the initiation of income-generating activities and business development.

Business Support:

  • Conduct business skills training, establish business support groups, and guide business plan development.
  • Coordinate the business starter kit application and approval process.

3. Networking and Advocacy:

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with local government and relevant stakeholders.
  • Implement cross-cutting activities, including alumni network maintenance and career guidance.

4. Administration:

Record Keeping:

  • Maintain complete, confidential records of caregiver and community member progress.
  • Regularly update the Programme database.

Work Planning:

  • Develop individual work plans and provide training and activity reports.

5. Teamwork:

Collaboration:

  • Promote teamwork within the department and leverage synergies with other departments.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team efforts for quality and holistic care.

Meetings and Coordination:

  • Coordinate and chair bi-weekly department meetings.
  • Engage in monthly Programme Management Meetings.

Job Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Community Development, Project Management, or Business Management).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in social work, community development, or business management.
