PURPOSE:

To provide administrative and technical support to the branch, captive, and independent intermediaries.

To deliver excellent customer service across all lines of business for all CIC subsidiaries.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Compliance Checking

  • Ensure agents comply with IRA regulations.
  • Confirm necessary regulatory business licenses are in place.

2. Branch Administration

  • Provide input for branch reports.
  • Coordinate day-to-day administrative tasks.
  • Maintain office cleanliness and equipment functionality.

3. Mail Handling

  • Receive, stamp, scan, index, and distribute mail within and outside the branch.

4. Customer Communication

  • Handle phone calls and visitors.
  • Resolve customer queries through various channels.

5. Customer Service

  • Assist with underwriting and claims issues.
  • Escalate queries when needed.

6. Office Ambience

  • Maintain a professional atmosphere within the office premises.
  • Promote the organization’s customer service charter.

7. Quotations and Documentation

  • Generate quotations in consultation with the Branch Underwriter and Branch Manager.
  • Safeguard security documents.

8. Support and Event Participation

  • Support CIC events within the branch territory.
  • Assist in premium collection and renewal follow-ups.

9. Group Life Underwriting

  • Handle claims and loading of schedules.

Key Skills, Knowledge, Experience, and Behavioural Competencies:

Academic and Professional Requirements:

  • Education
    • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field
    • Computer literate in MS Office and other office applications
    • Part qualification in a relevant professional field would be an added advantage

Experience Required:

  • Relevant experience: 1 year
