Key Responsibilities

• Conduct Property and Asset Inspections: Perform comprehensive property inspections and prepare detailed valuation reports within agreed timelines.
• Obtain Official Documentation: Secure property searches, maps, and relevant approvals from government authorities.
• Verify Valuation Purposes: Confirm the valuation purpose, including sale, mortgage, insurance, bookkeeping, foreclosure, and house allowance.
• Ensure Prompt Fee Collection: Collect valuation fees on time and ensure proper invoicing and documentation.
• Conduct Market Surveys: Carry out real estate market surveys to determine property price benchmarks.
• Gather Land Values and Sales Data: Collect and analyze county land values and sales data to assist in valuations.
• Calculate Property and Asset Values: Establish accurate property values based on market research and industry standards.
• Build Professional Networks: Develop and maintain professional relationships within the real estate industry.
• Provide Valuation Guidance: Offer expert valuation support to the sales and property management teams.
• Prepare Tender and Pre-Qualification Documents: Draft and submit tender applications for valuation panels, banks, and corporate clients.
• Uphold Ethical Standards: Maintain the highest ethical and professional integrity in all valuation activities.
• Draft and Revise Valuation Reports: Prepare reports for managerial review and implement necessary revisions.
• Manage Client Relationships: Establish long-term client relationships to provide continuous valuation services.
• Develop Business Partnerships: Engage with banks, law firms, insurance firms, and accountants to grow the business.
• Prioritize Valuation Caseloads: Efficiently manage multiple valuation projects and meet deadlines.
• Ensure Compliance with Documentation Requirements: Collect and organize title deeds, survey plans, location maps, and legal documents.
• Submit Reports and Invoices: Ensure that valuation reports and invoices are delivered to clients as per agreed instructions.
• Perform Market Research and Industry Analysis: Stay updated with real estate market trends and prepare industry reports.
• Maintain Confidentiality: Ensure strict confidentiality in handling valuation data and company information.
• Adhere to Company Policies: Follow all company guidelines, policies, and best practices.

Qualifications and Skills

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant real estate or valuation-related field.
• Professional Membership: Must be a Graduate or Full Member of the Institution of Surveyors of Kenya (ISK) – Valuation Chapter.
• Industry Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in property valuation.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of property valuation techniques, market trends, and asset pricing.
