The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, financial reporting, and administrative support. This is an onsite position based in Nairobi.

The Hazardous-waste Producer Responsibility Organization Kenya (HAPROK) and the Electronic-waste Producer Responsibility Organization (EPROK) are industry-driven initiatives working under the Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM). These organizations are dedicated to implementing sustainable waste management solutions by ensuring producer responsibility compliance and advancing circular economy principles in Kenya.
As affiliates of KAM, HAPROK and EPROK play a vital role in Kenya’s environmental sustainability agenda. They work closely with government agencies, manufacturers, and stakeholders to implement responsible waste management programs. Key Responsibilities
As a Finance & Administration Assistant, your primary responsibilities will include:
Financial Management & Accounting
- Tax Invoice Processing – Generate and issue invoices upon request and provide customer statements as required.
- Subscription Follow-ups – Maintain continuous follow-ups for timely payment of member subscriptions under the PROs.
- Bank Reconciliations – Ensure all received payments via MPESA and bank accounts are accurately reconciled and matched with respective invoices.
- Payment Receipting – Accurately process payments (cash, cheques, EFT) and post them into the accounting system.
- Customer Statement Reconciliation – Address customer queries and ensure all statements are updated correctly.
- Financial Reporting – Prepare monthly financial reports to present the financial position of the PROs (Fund Accountability Statement).
- Expense Monitoring & Budgeting – Track and monitor expenses, ensuring they align with the approved budget guidelines while identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Payment Processing – Post supplier invoices, prepare payment vouchers, and ensure timely disbursement of funds.
Administrative Support
- Provide general administrative assistance to the finance team, including filing documents, organizing financial records, and managing correspondence.
- Ensure efficient documentation and compliance with financial regulations and organizational policies.
- Assist with audit preparations and internal controls as required by management.
- Carry out any other duties assigned by the Finance Manager to support financial and administrative efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills Required
Minimum Qualifications
- CPA Part III, ACCA, or an equivalent qualification.
- A bachelor’s degree in a business-related field (Accounting, Finance, or Economics preferred).
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in finance and administration roles.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
